I think that it is kind of a joke that these comparisons come up pitting the base model Camaro, Mustang and Challenger against the top of the line Genesis Coupe. People who buy the V6 models of the Americans cars dont do so to go fast. even though the gen coupe would probably lose some (if not all) of the comparisons, I think that it would give shootouts like this more validity if they brought out the Camaro SS, and Mustang GT and the Challenger RT.
This is why no one at any of the big three automakers take the genesis coupe seriously..."oh, youre top of the line model beat the V6 Mustang, Camaro and Challenger? Let's try again with the Camaro SS, the Camaro 1LE, the Camaro ZL1, the Mustang GT, the Mustang Boss 302, the Shelby GT500, the Challenger R/T and the Challenger SRT8".
I was going to post that in the article comments but I do like the genesis coupe...just not the comparison models chosen...:)
While I certainly agree,

The Infinity G37 is really the main competition for the Genesis Coupe. No one seriously thinks it could compete with the hi-po models from Mustang, Camaro, Shelby or Challenger...they aren't even in the same ballpark!
I dont know who posted that but

i think that the best comparison would include the 370Z and the toyobaru coupes...much more level playing field. i understand the V6 to V6 comparisons but they never point out that the mustang camaro and challenger v6 models are entry levels...the v6 gen coupe is made to go fast. also, even though power is comparable, i find that the gen coupe V6 is a very different beast than the mustang gt for example. i still think that the current gen coupe is the closest thing to a non american muscle car since the toyota supra.

until we are closer to the end of the paris show. there are still plenty of days left in the show and single model/brand articles have a far greater search value then having a bunch of models in one piece.

that i would like to get to from the paris show. round up pieces like the ones that you are doing are fine, but once youve briefly covered a vehicle, it is less likely that someone will cover that vehicle in a specific piece. if its not a huge pain in your ass, could you hold off on doing more of them until maybe next week? the show runs for 11 more days which makes all of those topics news until the show ends.
