Mazda will update the Mazda3 compact sedan and five-door hatch for 2018. The emphasis for this year is an effort by Mazda to offer more standard equipment to all trim levels. There are no significant styling or mechanical updates for the 2018 model year Mazda3.
Mazda3 Added Standard Equipment
Demonstrating Mazda’s commitment to advanced safety technologies at all price points, the entry-level 2018 Mazda3 Sport, will now have standard Smart City Brake Support. However, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are still optional on the Sport. The Sport continues to use Mazda's 155 hp, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine.
The upscale Mazda3 Touring comes standard with a 2.5-liter, 184 hp engine. New standard equipment for 2018on the Touring trim includes dark silver alloy wheel color, standard illuminated vanity mirrors, and an overhead sunglasses holder.
The top of the line Grand Touring Mazda3 for 2018 adds perforated black or parchment-colored leather seating surfaces with heated front seats, full-color Active Driving Display head-up unit and LED fog lights.
Mazda still offers both a six-speed manual and also a six-speed automatic transmission.
