Subaru is known for its Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system, and the Japanese automaker created the all-wheel-drive SUV niche, but which model is best? Kelly Blue Book (KBB) announced its 10 Best All-Wheel-Drive Vehicles Under $30,000 and says the 2022 Subaru Outback is now the number one pick for shoppers in 2022.

Subaru models dominate the list with four picks by KBB. The 2022 Subaru Forester is the number three best all-wheel-drive vehicle, the 2022 Subaru Legacy is number seven best, and the 2022 Subaru Impreza is number ten on the new list. All four Subaru models come standard with all-wheel-drive, and it's not an expensive option like most automakers.

From first to last, the 2022 Subaru Outback is number one, followed by the Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, Honda CR-V, Ford Bronco Sport, Hyundai Santa Cruz, Subaru Legacy, Mazda 3, Nissan Altima, and Subaru Impreza.

2022 Subaru Outback

The 2022 Subaru Outback is now Subaru of America's number one selling model, and it's an affordable midsize SUV/crossover/wagon. What is the price of the 2022 Outback?

The 2022 Subaru Outback comes in eight trim levels; the base trim is priced from $27,845, Premium ($30,270), Limited ($34,720), Touring ($38,620), Onyx Edition XT ($36,270), new for 2022, Outback Wilderness ($38,120), Limited XT ($39,120), and Touring XT ($41,070). Pricing includes $1,125 destination and delivery fees.

KBB says, "The Subaru Outback is a rugged wagon that's ready to handle active lifestyles and off-road adventures. It has a comfortable, well-equipped interior with materials to handle a little mud and dirt. All-wheel drive is standard, as is good ground clearance for managing more challenging terrain."

2022 Subaru Forester

Forester is an affordable compact SUV. The 2022 Subaru Forester gets new upgrades and is Subaru of America's second-best-selling model. What is the price of the 2022 Forester?

For the 2022 model change Forester comes in six trim levels; The base Forester starts at $26,320, Premium ($29,320), Sport ($30,890), Limited ($33,000), new Wilderness ($33,945), and Touring ($36,420). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,125).

KBB says, "Standard all-wheel drive and up to 9.2 inches of ground clearance make the Subaru Forester a capable option. This SUV has smaller dimensions that make it a good choice for those who often need to navigate congested city streets. Inside, the Forester is comfortable and spacious with plenty of room for five adults."

2022 Subaru Legacy

The 2022 Subaru Legacy is the only midsize sedan in America with standard all-wheel-drive. What is the price of the 2022 Legacy?

The 2022 Legacy sedan comes in six trim levels. The 2022 midsize sedan starts at $23,955 for the base trim, Premium ($26,205), Sport ($29,750), Limited ($30,905), Limited XT ($35,455), and Touring XT ($37,155). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($960).

KBB says, "The Legacy is a spacious sedan with ample room for up to five adults. It includes standard EyeSight driver assistance technologies as well as all-wheel drive. Cloth seating surfaces with manually adjustable front seats and dual 7-inch infotainment screens are also standard on the Legacy."

2022 Subaru Impreza

The 2022 Impreza is the most affordable all-wheel-drive model in Subaru of America's lineup. All trim levels are priced under $30,000. What is the price of the 2022 Impreza sedan and hatchback?

The 2022 Impreza comes in four trim levels for customers. The seven different models come in base sedan ($19,755), base hatchback ($20,255) Premium sedan ($23,155), Premium hatchback ($23,655), Sport sedan ($24,555), Sport hatchback ($23,955), and Limited hatchback ($27,355). Destination and delivery ($960) are included in the prices above.

KBB says, "The Subaru Impreza has standard all-wheel drive and is available as a sedan or a hatchback, with the sedan coming in as the cheaper option. Despite its low price, it has a solid array of standard features including a 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto."
