2024 Honda CR-V Owner Says, “Every Time I Call the Dealer to Schedule My CR-V Recall, They Give Me the Same Response, They Don't Have the Parts Available”

"I have been waiting three months for Honda to get the parts for my 2024 Honda CR-V recall."

It's revealing to see CR-V owners sharing their experiences on the Honda CR-V Community Facebook page, with many reporting that their Honda dealer keeps telling them parts are unavailable and they have to wait.

"Every time I call the dealership to schedule the recall on my 2024 Honda CR-V, they keep giving me the same response: they don't have the parts available. Is this happening to anyone else?"

Abril Cruz Luna says, When I called after it had first been announced, they said they didn't have the parts available yet, but I received a letter letting me know the parts have arrived and to schedule. That was about three months ago, and I'm ready to call another dealer.

• The 2024 CR-V was recalled because the tire identification number (TIN) was missing the four-digit date code. This issue violated the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.

Steering gearbox 

• The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which could cause difficulty steering.

Fuel pump 

• A potential issue with the fuel pump could lead to a fuel leak and potentially a fire. This recall affects 2023–2025 CR-V Hybrid models.

Other issues 

Lemon Law Experts says, “The 2024 CR-V has also been the subject of complaints about the electrical system, engine performance, and braking functionality. Some owners have reported premature brake wear and air conditioning issues.”

ermgrom, I work in parts at a Honda dealer and can confirm limited parts are available for the fuel pump recall. We aren't even able to order them at the moment; Honda divides them up between dealers and sends us a couple when they can. 

For now, we are holding them for people who are having an issue until they become more available. If your car is running fine, don't worry about it. I understand wanting your car 'up to code,' but you must be patient with these recalls.
