Subaru of America (SOA) announced another hot sales month. It now has sixteen straight months of sales increases. Check out the results of each model. Enthusiasm for two models drives impressive sales volume for the Camden, N.J. automaker.
SOA announced its 16 consecutive months of increased sales, with 53,327 vehicles delivered to customers for November 2023. That's a 6.4 percent increase compared with November 2022 (50,138).

SOA also reported year-to-date sales of 574,322, a 14.9 percent increase compared to 2022. Subaru is on pace to hit nearly 700,000 in sales for the year.
"We are geared up to end the year on a high note, achieving sixteen consecutive months of sales increases and continuing to offer the safety, reliability, and adventure that customers are looking for," said Jeff Walters, the new President and Chief Operating Officer, Subaru of America.
By the numbers
Subaru of America only had three models that were up in percentage of increase in November compared with the same period in 2022. And two are the hot models for SOA.

The Subaru Forester is the top model again and has been the top seller for five consecutive months.
Like in July, August, September, and October, the Subaru Forester compact SUV is again the number-one selling all-wheel-drive model for Subaru of America. Forester is on a roll before the next-gen models arrive.
Forester was the top performer by volume in November, with 15,089 model sales and an increase of 63.8 percent over November 2022. Forester had the highest percentage of growth of any Subaru model.
The 15,089 Forester models delivered to customers compared with 9,211 in November 2022. Forester is now up 36.1 percent in the first eleven months of 2023. Forester has 136,913 models sold in 2023, remaining in third place and inches closer to the new Crosstrek.
It was the best-ever November for the new Subaru Crosstrek.

As Subaru of America retailers get the the all-new 2024 Crosstrek, sales of the subcompact SUV are up in November, and Crosstrek is the second best seller in the lineup. Crosstrek sales were up 18.3 percent, with 14,994 models delivered to customers in November compared with 12,672 in November 2022.
The Crosstrek is now up 1.2 percent for the year's first eleven months. Crosstrek is second in the lineup behind Outback year to date, with 143,394 models sold in 2023. Crosstrek is now just 4,116 model sales behind the Outback.
Outback is in third place again.
The 2023 Subaru Outback midsize SUV is the third-place performer in the lineup again, decreasing 18.8 percent in November, with 12,223 models sold compared with 15,069 in November 2022. Outback is now up 11.4 percent in the first eleven months of 2023. Outback still leads all other models this year, with 147,510 midsize SUVs delivered to customers in 2023.
The Ascent continues to slide.
The 2023 Subaru Ascent is the fourth best-selling SUV in the lineup, with 4,292 sales of the 3-Row SUVs in November. The Ascent sales dropped 24.3 percent compared with the 5,673 models sold in November 2022. The Ascent is down 2.1 percent in the first eleven months, with 55,547 models sold year to date.
The new Impreza is down again.
The Subaru Impreza compact hatchback decreased again in November after dropping in October. Impreza is the fifth best-selling model as SOA delivered 2,370 compact hatch models to customers in November compared with 2,861 sales in November 2022. Impreza is now up 13.6 percent in the first eleven months of 2023, with 32,196 compact models sold in 2023.

The Legacy sedan takes a dip.
After being up in October, the 2023 Subaru Legacy midsize sedan was down in November. It is the sixth best-selling model. The Legacy was down 17.2 percent in November, with 1,838 models delivered to customers compared with 2,166 sales in November 2022. The Legacy sedan is up 15.4 percent in the first eleven months, with 23,632 models sold to customers in 2023.
The WRX drops the most of any model.
The 2023 Subaru WRX sales dropped 37.3 percent in November, with 1,305 performance models delivered to customers compared with 2,080 sales in November 2022. The WRX is up 41.5 percent in the first eleven months after a fast start at the beginning of the year. SOA has sold 23,299 sport-tuned models this year.
Solterra cools off.
After four record months of sales, the Solterra EV cools off. SOA delivered 943 compact electric SUVs to EV customers in November compared with 94 in November 2022, its first sales month. SOA has sold 7,916 models to EV customers in the first eleven months of 2023.
The BRZ takes up the last spot.
The 2023 BRZ sports coupe is still the bottom dweller in SOA's lineup, with 263 sales in November, compared with 312 sport coupes delivered in November 2022. BRZ dropped 15.7 percent in November and still has a 29.6 percent increase for the year, with 3,915 sport coupes delivered to customers.
Enthusiasm for the Subaru Forester compact SUV remains the highest of all Subaru of America's models. The next-generation Forester arrives next spring. Stay tuned.
