Where is all the Tesla Cybertruck hate?
I've written several reports about the negativity surrounding the Tesla Cybertruck. The story of a school teacher getting her and her husband's truck keyed by a knife. Another story of a Tesla dealer in Colorado that's been vandalized three times in ten days.
However, there's another side to the Cybertruck story. Marcus Reno revealed on Facebook that he took his new Tesla Cyberyruck to a car show and was expecting negativity and haters. However, what he experienced from car fans at the show was a total surprise and even shock.
He says,
"I keep seeing all this loud negativity online about the Cybertruck—people saying it's ugly, a joke, nobody likes it, and so on. So, after not having taken mine to a car show for a while, I was curious: how do people feel in person?"
Marcus discovered something very different from what he'd seen online about the hate for Cybertruck.
He says, "Yesterday, I took my truck to The Wharf in Orange Beach, AL, where there were thousands of people and hundreds of classic, muscle, and custom cars. Based on what I saw online, I braced for negativity, but let me tell you—that couldn't have been further from the truth. I was shocked at the response."
"For six hours, I never had less than 20 people around my truck. I had over 100 people sitting in it, asking questions and taking pictures, and I was just completely blown away by it. The most common things I heard?"
- "Man, these look incredible in person."
- "I had no idea the interior was so clean and futuristic."
- "This thing is just badass."
- "I've heard a lot of crazy stuff online, but now that I see it—wow."
The Repose Was Overwhelmingly Positive
"And that wasn't just younger folks—even the classic car and muscle car guys came over to check it out and asked good questions."
He says that there was not even one person who said anything negative.
"It just proves what I already believed: negativity stands out online, but the real-world reaction is overwhelmingly positive."
"Think about it—if someone gets flipped off once while driving, they go straight to the internet to post about it. Meanwhile, 100 people took pictures, smiled, and gave thumbs-ups, but that one middle finger is what people fixate on. And then, of course, the loudest online trolls will jump in and amplify the negativity."
Here is the Reality and His Challenge
"Get your Cybertruck out there," Marcus advises. "Take it to a car show, park it somewhere public, and just watch the reaction. It's nothing like the internet. In fact, the more time that's passed since I first got mine, the more positive reactions I see—not less."
"Honestly, I wish I'd set up a GoPro to time-lapse just how many people came up, how many pictures were taken, and how many kids absolutely loved it. If you've been worried about the "hate," experience it yourself—you'll see what I mean."
"Online trolls are loud. Reality is silent—and overwhelmingly positive."
Here Is What Marcus Heard Before He Bought His CT
"Based on expert internet analysis, these things should be engulfed in flames, shattered into pieces, completely undrivable, and incapable of towing a garden hose. And yet mine is completely fine."
"It's like I've won the Cybertruck lottery and got the only fully functional one ever built, or perhaps, some of us have been fed a steaming pile of BS."
Let's be honest—this truck is:
- Cutting-edge innovation (which offends some people).
- It is incredibly safe (unless you believe YouTube comments more than physics).
- It's comfortable and fun.
- It's a real truck that does real truck things.
- And, a bonus—somehow, it's still in one piece!
Tesla Cybertruck Owner, Louis Sonny, Shares His Experience
Louis says, "Early this morning, around 6 AM, I stopped by Dunkin' Donuts to grab breakfast for the office. As I stepped out of my Cybertruck, a man started taking pictures. At first, I was annoyed, but then, with all the negativity you hear these days, I found myself watching him, watching my Cybertruck."
The man was not there to shout an obscenity or give the middle finger to Louis; he was there to take pictures and give him a thumbs up instead. The situation turned from irritation and concern to admiration for his truck.
Louis says, "And in that moment, admiration replaced irritation. Needless to say, I understand why he took the photo, so I decided to take one, too."
Cybertruck Owner Says Owning His Cybertruck Has Been Lifechanging
Erdal Calgary purchased his Cybertruck on April 26, 2024, and his life has not been the same since. He describes it as a "transformative experience." How many car owners can say that?
Erdal says,
"Since April 2024, driving my Cybertruck has been a transformative experience, reshaping my daily commute and outlook on life."
"The sleek, futuristic design and powerful performance have elevated my driving experience to new heights—each journey feels like a glimpse into the future."
The Cybertruck Makes His Life Easier
He says, "Rather than letting these moments dampen my enthusiasm, I now view them as part of the broader conversation about innovation and change. The very vehicle that sparks such strong reactions is also the one that has made my life easier and more exciting."
"With its advanced autopilot features, robust performance, and unparalleled efficiency, my Cybertruck has improved my daily commute and opened up a world of possibilities—be it long-distance road trips or spontaneous off-road adventures."
Final Thoughts and Questions For Tesla Cybertruck Owners
Marcus concludes, "So, to my fellow "lucky" owners—are your trucks also miraculously surviving the apocalypse, or are we witnessing the biggest case of Internet Misinformation Syndrome in history?"
