The all-new third-generation 2024 Subaru Crosstrek gets new interior upgrades with updated multimedia technology, an 11.6-inch Subaru Starlink center information display, and a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. But that’s not all of the new upgrades over the 2023 model.
The new model is much more comfortable for active customers using the subcompact SUV for longer road trips and off-pavement excursions. There are several new upgrades worth noting for outdoor enthusiasts. How far will it take you off the grid now?
A quieter, more comfortable cabin
The cabin has been enhanced with a more supportive front seat design that increases overall comfort and minimizes fatigue on long road trips. In addition, Subaru says, “A focused effort on reducing sounds within the particular frequency ranges results in a quieter and more comfortable cabin.”
Improved climate control
The new Crosstrek climate control system has been updated to focus on occupied seats (vs. the entire cabin) for improved comfort and fuel economy. In addition, dual-zone heating/cooling control is standard across all trims.
Wireless phone charger
The Crosstrek Sport trim is now equipped with a wireless phone charger in the center console, which is also a new upgrade. In addition, rear dark-tint privacy glass is now standard on all trim levels.
Easier to read center information display
The upgraded interior design features a prominent center information display with “highly visual controls,” says Subaru. For the first time, an 11.6-inch Starlink center information display is available for Crosstrek.
A dual 7.0-inch high-resolution touchscreen is standard, with the top screen controlling smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming connectivity. It also controls the AM/FM stereo, rear vision camera, SiriusXM Radio and Travel Link, and HD Radio. The bottom screen provides controls for climate and vehicle settings.
Voice-activated navigation
The 11.6-inch multimedia system includes voice-activated navigation powered by TomTom (3-year free subscription). In addition, the navigation system has what3words (W3W) integration, an innovative location technology that Subaru says “provides a simple way to communicate precise locations using just three simple words.”
How much cargo space does the new Crosstrek have?
The Crosstrek features 60:40 folding rear seatbacks, and with both seatbacks folded flat, the cargo area can increase to 54.7 cubic ft. of useable space. The 41.0-inch-wide rear gate opening with low lift-over height allows easy loading and unloading.
Standard rear seat reminder
Crosstrek now comes with a rear seat reminder to help prevent child and pet entrapment by alerting the driver to check the back seat before exiting the vehicle.
Subaru says, “Step inside the roomy interior of the all-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. Check out tech that keeps you connected, and explore comforts that make even the longest road trips fly by.” Check out the 2024 Crosstrek Limited interior video below.
For commuting during the week, the new Crosstrek should have a smoother ride and quieter cabin. The new model is much more comfortable for active customers and outdoor enthusiasts who use the subcompact SUV for long road trips and off-pavement excursions. But, of course, you’ll want to get further away from civilization now.
