Not all Crosstrek trims get it.
It's important to note that not all Subaru Crosstrek trims are equipped with the same safety features. This means that depending on the trim you choose, you may have to compromise on certain safety technologies.
Every new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek has the best all-wheel-drive technology and off-pavement capability (except for Wilderness). Still, not all trim levels are created equal regarding safety technology. I'll explain which trims have the top equipment so buyers will be informed.
They do have this one.
For the first time, Subaru EyeSight is now a standard feature on every Crosstrek trim level, and every Subaru model in the 2024 lineup, providing a consistent and reliable safety standard for every buyer. Find out more in my report here.
Subaru says, "EyeSight includes several advanced active safety systems to protect you and your family on every drive."
Four standard features
Every Crosstrek features the upgraded EyeSight Driver Assist Technology for 2024. It acts like an extra set of eyes on the road and, if need be, an additional foot on the brake when you drive.
- Automatic Emergency Steering can help you avoid a collision by providing automatic steering and pre-collision braking support if it determines there's enough space to intervene.
- Automatic Pre-Collision Brakes help avoid or reduce frontal impacts by alerting you and applying full braking force in emergency situations. Pre-collision throttle Management can reduce the engine's power to help minimize the possible impact force and frontal impact damage.
- Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering adds extra convenience and safety on every trip. Just choose the distance you want to keep from the car in front of you, and it can take some of the stress out of everyday driving by helping with steering, braking, and throttle control while maintaining a safe distance ahead.
- A standard Rear-Vision Camera enhances visibility when reversing.
It's important to note that not all trims come with the all-around awareness tech. For instance, the Base trim might not have the same safety features as the Limited or Wilderness trims. Therefore, buyers should consider their safety priorities when choosing a trim.

- The Blind-Spot Detection system warns you with a visual indicator on each side mirror if it senses a vehicle in your blind spots.
- Blind-Spot Detection is standard on Limited and Wilderness and is available on Premium and Sport trims.
- Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps warn you of traffic approaching from the side as you are backing up.
Which trims come with the best safety features?
- Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is standard on Limited and Wilderness. It's available on Premium and Sport trims.
- With available Reverse Automatic Braking, your vehicle can even stop itself to help avoid objects behind you.
- Reverse Automatic Braking is standard on Limited and Wilderness. It's not available on Premium and Sport.
Subaru bundles the Blind-Spot
Detection/Rear Cross-Traffic Alert tech with the all-weather package (with heated front seats, exterior mirrors, and windshield wiper de-icer), a 10-way power driver's seat, and a power sliding moonroof. The package cost is $2,245.
Base models have the least.
The Blind-Spot Detection/Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Reverse Automatic Braking tech are unavailable on the Base trim.
