Hot Subaru Crosstrek Cools Off Drops To 2nd Best-Selling Model In The Lineup

The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek cools off before summer, dropping to second place in Subaru’s lineup. See what’s next for the subcompact SUV.

Even though it cooled off in April, the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek is still on an impressive run for Subaru of America (SOA). The Crosstrek subcompact SUV dropped from first to second in the all-wheel-drive lineup but was still ahead of the refreshed 2022 Forester compact SUV, while the 2022 Outback midsize SUV barely pulled ahead.

Last month, Crosstrek pulled off a first-ever and was the number one selling model in the all-wheel-drive lineup, passing Forester and Outback. In April, the popular Outback had 16,510 models delivered to customers compared with Crosstrek’s 12,017 total sales for the month.
