The latest iSeeCars analysis found that the 20 fastest-selling new cars and SUVs during August are the 2021 Crosstrek (number four) and the 2021 Subaru Forester (number seven). Why are the Forester and Crosstrek in high demand?
The 2021 Subaru Forester and 2021 Subaru Crosstrek are consistently ranked high for their standard all-wheel-drive, top safety crash scores, utility, fuel economy, and off-road ability.
iSeeCars analyzed over 900,000 new and used cars sold in August 2021 and found that the average new car takes 26 days to sell. The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek takes only 9.0 days to sell, with an average transaction price of $28,882. All summer, the Crosstrek has been the hottest model for Subaru of America, and it’s not slowing down.
The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek was a top seller again for the Camden, N.J. automaker last month. The Crosstrek was up 12.2 percent, with 11,587 models delivered to customers versus 10,329 in August 2020. The Crosstrek subcompact led all Subaru SUVs in the percentage of increase, up 37.3 percent year-to-date.
The 2021 Subaru Forester is now the second-fastest-selling compact SUV and seventh-fastest selling vehicle in America, taking 9.7 days to sell. The average transaction price for the new Forester is $32,750.
The Subaru Forester is still Subaru’s number-one-selling model in the lineup. The Forester is in high demand and is the number two fastest-selling compact SUV behind the Toyota RAV4 (9.5 days to sell).
What is the price of the 2022 Subaru Forester?
The 2022 Subaru Forester arrives in October and comes in six trim levels; The base Forester starts at $26,320, Premium ($29,320), Sport ($30,890), Limited ($33,000), new Wilderness ($33,945), and Touring ($36,420). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,125).
Subaru of America has not announced the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek model change and launch date. The new models may not arrive until late winter.
What is the price of the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek?
The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek comes in five trim levels for customers and gets a small price increase. The base trim is priced from $23,295, Premium ($24,345), all-new Sport ($27,545), Limited ($29,045), Hybrid ($36,395). Prices include destination and delivery ($1,050).
The 2021 Subaru Forester is Subaru of America’s number one selling model and now the second-fastest selling compact SUV in America. The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek is the fastest-selling small SUV, and both models will be hard to find this fall.
