Subaru WRX STI Type RA, BRZ tS Pricing Announced; WR Blue, Black or White

The Limited Edition 2018 Subaru WRX STI Type RA and 2018 BRZ tS are performance-focused derivatives enhanced by Subaru Tecnica International (STI) for performance enthusiasts who want more from their sports cars. Pricing has been announced by Subaru of America.

500 examples of the 2018 WRX STI Type RA and 2018 BRZ tS Limited Editions will be available for performance enthusiasts in the U.S. market. Each model gets a performance suspension tuned by Subaru Tecnica International (STI), and exclusive Cherry Blossom Red accents. Both WRX STI Type RA and BRZ tS models get a unique carbon fiber rear spoiler, and three color options, WR Blue Pearl, Crystal Black Silica and Crystal White Pearl.

Pricing

The 2018 WRX STI Type RA delivers increased performance through weight reduction, suspension and engine upgrades and is priced at $48,995 a $12,900 increase over the standard 2018 WRX STI price ($36,095), plus $860 for destination and delivery.

The 2018 BRZ tS (tuned by STI) gives driving enthusiasts the most agile handling BRZ sports coupe ever, but gets no engine upgrades. BRZ tS rides on 18-inch wheels for the first time wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and is offered at $33,495, an increase of $8,000 over the standard price on the 2018 BRZ ($25,495), plus $860 for destination and delivery.

We aren’t sure how many 2018 Subaru WRX STI Type RA limited editions each Subaru dealer is allocated, but the top volume dealer in the U.S., Heuberger in Colorado Springs, filled up their waiting list with 10 buyers back in September. Subaru says the 2018 Subaru WRX STI Type RA and 2018 BRZ tS Limited Editions will be available beginning in the spring of 2018 if you can find one.
