Tesla Cybertruck Owner Says, “The Massive Negativity Against Tesla Is Actually Fueling More Curiosity and Exposure, and Working In the Cybertruck’s Favor"

Cybertruck and Tesla haters fuel curiosity, and it's working in the automakers' and the controversial truck's favor. This is what one Cybertruck owner says. Check out Marcus Reno's insightful comments and see if you agree or disagree.

Objectors to Tesla and the Cybertruck could have the opposite effect that they intend.

I found this insightful post by Marcus Reno on the Cybertruck Facebook page dedicated to Cybertruck owners. He says that Cybertruck and Tesla's objectors are actually fueling curiosity, and it's working in Tesla's and the controversial truck's favor.

I've received permission from Marcus to share his post and pictures of his truck. After you read his thoughts, let us know if you agree or disagree. Here are the most relevant excerpts from Marcus's post.

He starts with Cybertruck Hype vs. Reality: The Inevitable Truth

"With more and more Cybertrucks hitting the streets, car shows, and public spaces, owners are giving non-owners their first up-close look—and the response? A growing admiration for the truck's design, abilities, and features."

"People are getting educated firsthand, breaking free from the online propaganda, political nonsense, and emotional meltdowns over its radical design.”

The Irony?

"The massive online negativity is actually fueling more curiosity and exposure. People see the hate, they hear the drama—so they want to check it out for themselves."

Once They Do, the Truth Unfolds

"Thanks to Cybertruck owners proudly showcasing their trucks, more people realize it's nothing like what the online trolls scream about. The negativity sparks curiosity, which turns into understanding and appreciation."

Another Cybertruck owner, Erdal Calgary, purchased his Cybertruck on April 26, 2024, and his life has not been the same since. He describes it as a "transformative experience." How many car owners can say that?

Erdal says,

"Since April 2024, driving my Cybertruck has been a transformative experience, reshaping my daily commute and outlook on life."

"The sleek, futuristic design and powerful performance have elevated my driving experience to new heights—each journey feels like a glimpse into the future."

Marcus takes his Tesla Cybertruck to a car show The Cybertruck Provokes Strong Opinions

Marcus continues, "One unexpected aspect of this transformation has been how other drivers react to the Cybertruck. Its unique appearance and cutting-edge technology provoke strong opinions on the road."

"On more than one occasion, I've encountered drivers flipping me off. While these gestures can be jarring, I've seen them reflect the Cybertruck's ability to stand out and challenge conventional expectations."

The Negativity Is Working In the Cybertruck's Favor

Marcus says, "It turns out negativity and outrage marketing are working in the Cybertruck's favor—the very people trying to use negativity to shut the Cybertruck down are driving up its popularity and sales."

"Owners are reporting that if it weren't for all the talk, they wouldn't have gone out of their way to check it out. But once they did, they took test drives, dug into the real facts, and made a purchase."

Another Cybertruck Owners Says,

"The future of the Cybertruck isn't just strong—it's unstoppable. Because innovation always faces resistance. And resistance proves it's on the right path."

One More Example of Cybertruck Misinformation

Imagine driving a Tesla Cybertruck in a busy downtown area, and then a crowd gathers. You are expecting the worst to happen. Are they going to do something violent? Should you get back in your truck and leave before something terrible happens?

I also found Louis Sonny's post on the Tesla Cybertruck Owner's Facebook page.  He found himself in a situation where he didn't know what would happen next.

The Cybertruck owner was expecting something terrible to happen. However, this situation was very different from what was happening in some cities nationwide. Tesla owners are taking the brunt of anger against Elon Musk.

What Happened Next Was a Surprise

Louis says, "Early this morning, around 6 AM, I stopped by Dunkin' Donuts to grab breakfast for the office. As I stepped out of my Cybertruck, a man started taking pictures. At first, I was annoyed, but then, with all the negativity you hear, I watched him, watching my Cybertruck."

The man was not there to shout an obscenity or give the middle finger to Louis; he was there to take pictures and give him a thumbs up instead. The situation turned from irritation and concern to admiration for his truck.

Final Thoughts and Questions for Cybertruck Owners

Tesla owners are loyal and passionate about their vehicles. Cybertruck owners are a different breed and are at the forefront of the latest technology and vehicle design language. It's put them squarely in the bullseye, but they wouldn't have it any other way.

If you are a Cybertruck owner check out the TheCybertruck Facebook page and join the group.

Marcus emphasizes that Cybertruck owners are not swayed by the politics, the debates, or the drama. "They love their truck. They're keeping it. Period." This unwavering commitment and resilience in the face of negativity is a testament to the determination and empowerment of Cybertruck owners.

If this was truly the case, and it isn't, Tesla stock wouldn't be doing laps in the toilet bowl right now. Sounds more like someone is trying to deflect the stigma around Tesla.

I am getting a Cybertruck just to get some jerks totally pissed off and ruin their day. I am also buying more and more TSLA, so keep trashing the stock so I can get them cheaper, 😂. You will wish you drank from the toilet and bath in it later.

Great, want to be seen. Want to be noticed? Enjoy your notoriety while it lasts! Burgeoning self-a-grandizement lends itself to narcissistic tendencies. Me'ism the me'ist dogma could be hazardous to one's health in this crazy day and age.

Zach (not verified)    March 5, 2025 - 12:33PM

Currently, cybertruck sales are way down. They even discounted them in an attempt to sell more. So, factually speaking, anti-Tesla sentiment is not increasing sales.

Also, it's not the "unique appearance and cutting-edge technology" that provokes strong responses. It's the fact that the CEO has made two very clear n@zi salutes. Some of us in America are still against that. So it's not really an "insightful comment" as it is a desperate attempt to justify buying an overpriced, underperforming rust magnet from a scumbag.

Dang (not verified)    March 5, 2025 - 12:50PM

No it really isn't though. Sales are down double digits year over year and the stock price is taking a beating but that's some nice copium.

I wouldn't buy a CT, but I applaud Tesla for building it and I think it's a great truck. I took one for a test drive and was amazed how solid and quiet it was. It definitely handles and drives better than any of my prior pickups and the steer by wire is great! I'll never understand the CT/Tesla hate and wish people would CTFO!

Rich Black (not verified)    March 5, 2025 - 3:03PM

All I know is you couldn't give me one, and that's from BEFORE D.O.G.E. Our Tacoma will run circles around this abomination and is an actual truck.

jvh (not verified)    March 5, 2025 - 3:06PM

Nice spin. Let's see the sales at the next TSLA earnings report. These things can't tow or even get their way out of 4 inches of snow. You want $100k ugly lemon to own the libs be my guest.

Vegas (not verified)    March 5, 2025 - 3:18PM

STFU. Only the Teslas drivers love their Tesla trucks. BEFORE, I saw an ugly @$$ POS. Now all I see is a "Yahtzee" ugly @$$ POS.

Dillon (not verified)    March 5, 2025 - 3:47PM

No it isn't, lol. The vehicle is a dumpster fire and will go down in history as one of the worst vehicles ever made, if it gets remembered at all. There's a reason Tesla barely managed to sell 2% of their total Cybertruck pre-orders.

PCodez (not verified)    March 5, 2025 - 4:31PM

Is that why they are sitting in lots? One near me have them all over the grass in a field adjacent to the show room. Bro is hitting the copium hard. Muskler is alienating the people that were interested in Tesla and cozying up to the people that hate electric cars period.

Ross Warren (not verified)    March 5, 2025 - 5:49PM

I don’t believe a word of this! Tesla’s tanking! Just ask those hundreds of thousands unsold cars sitting in lots worldwide! Bye, bye Tesla…and good riddance!

The cyber truck draws is own attention because it looks dumb. It has nothing to do with the "massive negativity" if that is even a thing vs you just thinking it's a thing.

the Cybertruck's ability to stand out is akin to me walking around town carrying a giant pink dildo.

I don't have anything against Tesla or electric vehicles in general, but the Cybertruck is nothing more than a spectacle designed to draw eyeballs.

You forgot the tagline "written by an AI musk fanboy"

I love that every single comment disagrees with this "article". 😂

No musk just put out 10 million in ads to people like this to write fake articles like this. Do not trust this site, they are solely working from money that pays them to write what they tell them. We know this based on the 50 articles that popped up yesterday and today that say the same bullshit

Shaw (not verified)    March 6, 2025 - 9:17PM

This opinion isn't based on fact, polls or data. It's very difficult to make someone change opinion based on emotion. The best the negativity can do is pulling in undecided people, who are usualy not interested by EV truck anyway. Kind of a stretch to think it will launch cybertruck sales, when all data point otherwise.

Mr.liskowski (not verified)    March 11, 2025 - 4:20PM

If I spent over $100,000 on a Tesla truck I doubt if I would ever say anything bad about it. I would not expect any body that spent that kind of money to say anything bad but it's still Tesla it will be an antique quicker and have no value in the future. Thank you

Jenni Lee Williams (not verified)    March 11, 2025 - 7:09PM

It sounds like someone is trying very hard to convince themselves that the giant scrap of metal they bought is not useless.

Bon (not verified)    March 11, 2025 - 7:18PM

Really that is your take after watching not only all sales plummet. But possible fake sales in Canada to abuse the rebates. Hmmmmmmmmm I would say only a fool would buy or support Tesla knowing it could bankrupt.
