There are only 23 examples of the special BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition produced in the world. DTM Champion Marco Wittmann got one for winning the Team Championship for BMW Team RMG last year. Now, TVW Car Design got a hold of one of them and bumped up the horsepower in the special M4 to 517hp.
TVW didn’t stop with the engine upgrades, they also lowered the M4 and gave it an upgraded KW Clubsport coilover tuned suspension and 20-inch BBS FI forged alloy wheels with a black finish. The custom wheels are wrapped in a set of performance Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Inside, the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition by TVW gets upgraded engine sound inside the cabin from Akrapovic Evolution Line made of titanium. There’s a sound damper on the steering wheel that can be opened or closed for more of the 517hp engine sound.
TVW Car Design also put a special tuned exhaust system on the M4 that delivers another 17 horsepower to the 3.0-liter bi-turbo inline six-cylinder engine. They added a K & N air filter and an additional unit for the engine electronics to give the special edition model a total power output of 517 hp and a maximum torque of 700 Newton meters.
BMW sold out of the special edition M4s almost as quickly as they went on sale in Germany. They’ve been ordered by BMW M fans all over the world, and BMW says they were “snapped up” in no time at all. TVW Car Design got their hands on one and made the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition a little more special for one performance enthusiast.
