A Honda T-Boned My Tesla Cybertruck & Got Peeled Like a Shrimp; My Cybertruck Kept a Piece of the Honda Stuck Between Its Stainless Steel Panels as a Souvenir of Its Triumph

An accident involving a Tesla Cybertruck and a Honda Accord has left the Honda severely damaged. Additionally, a piece of the Honda’s front grill can be seen peeled away and stuck between the Cybertruck’s stainless steel panels.

A Tesla Cybertruck owner was recently involved in an unfortunate accident with a Honda Accord while driving in broad daylight.

According to the owner, Sergio Rodriguez, the accident took place in Chesapeake, Virginia. Sergio shared a video of the incident on his YouTube channel and followed up on the aftermath of the accident with several pictures posted on Facebook on the Tesla Cybertruck Owners group.

As you can see in the video, the Cybertruck was going through an intersection, and right when Sergio was about to finish crossing the path, a black Honda Accord ran straight into his Cybertruck.

The video clearly shows a high-energy accident. Vehicle parts started to fly immediately after the two vehicles collided.

The Honda hit the Cybertruck’s rear passenger compartment, and according to Sergio, although the accident was unfortunate for the Cybertruck, it was way worse for the Honda.

Sergio writes, “I got hit in my Cybertruck today. Lady claims I turned into her. Little did she know that Tesla has numerous cameras that record at all times. She tore this truck up. This truck is bulletproof, but this Honda peeled like a shrimp.”

Looking at the accident's aftermath, Sergio was not exaggerating when he said, “The Honda peeled like a shrimp.” The picture shows a piece of the Honda’s front bumper wedged between the Cybertruck’s ultra-hard, cold-rolled stainless steel panels.

After getting a grip of the Honda’s front bumper, it appears that the Cybertruck peeled the Honda’s front end much like one would do to a shrimp.

The entire front end of the Honda is completely gone. The front bumper and grill are nowhere to be seen. The Honda’s internals, including the vehicle’s radiators, are visible. The front crash cans are deformed, and wires and pieces are all over the place.

In addition, the Honda’s driver-side front light is broken; overall, the vehicle appears to be in horrible shape. Perhaps a good mechanic could put this vehicle back together; however, given the damage, the insurance company might deem it totaled.

What’s surprising about the damage the Cybertruck did to the Honda Accord is that this is not the first incident where a Cybertruck took hold of another vehicle, especially a sedan, between the stainless steel panels and kept it for itself.

A previous accident involving a Nissan Sentra and a Cybertruck resulted in the Cybertruck taking a chunk out of the Sentra and keeping it attached to the truck’s stainless steel panels.

The only time a Cybertruck was seen taking significant damage after a crash with a sedan was in an accident involving a Cybertruck and a Tesla Model 3. The Cybertruck was severely damaged in this incident, whereas the Model 3 remained relatively unharmed.

What about the Cybertruck? Compared to the Honda, the Cybertruck is in much better shape. There is superficial damage going all the way from the front door to the rear wheels. The part where the Honda’s front bumper remained attached to the Cybertruck also sustained some damage.

That said, although comparatively unharmed, the high-energy impact did not spare the Cybertruck without structural damage.

Sergio shared that the accident broke both the opening mechanism for his rear passenger door and his rear suspension. The damage to the suspension especially forced his Cybertruck to be towed to the mechanic shop.

Additional note on the circumstances of the accident: Sergio states that the woman behind the Honda Accord steering wheel made false claims to the police, stating that the Cybertruck turned into her and caused the accident.

However, luckily for Sergio, his Cybertruck has automatic dashboard camera features that store a video of the accident from several angles.

Sergio says that thanks to the video, the Honda owner’s insurance company has already accepted the blame on behalf of their client and will pay for the repair costs. Sergio also says he owns a second Cybertruck and will return on the road with his second all-electric truck.

Overall, it’s interesting to see the aftermath of an accident involving a Cybertruck and a small family sedan.
