Just in Case People Want To Try Something Harmful To My Tesla Cybertruck, I Can Have My Evidence And Send Them To Prison

A Tesla Cybertruck owner shares a warning to all would-be vandals targeting his vehicle. He shows that if someone tampers with his truck, he’ll be able to collect evidence and ensure the perpetrators face jail time.

Jeremy Judkins is a Cybertruck owner from Florida and a content creator who mostly makes short videos covering his Cybertruck ownership experience.

Jeremy runs the Tesla Cybertruck group on Facebook, which has over 32,000 followers.

The self-described “best Tesla Cybertruck influencer” gives a small description of his Facebook page writing…

“The Best Tesla Cybertruck Influencer ⚡️🔋 🛻 | This is an unofficial Tesla fan account managed by Jeremy Judkins. This fan page is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Tesla, Inc. or its subsidiaries.”

Given his involvement in the Tesla community and all the vandalism and protests targeting Tesla owners, Jeremy recently shared a post warning about possible would-be Tesla Cybertruck vandals.

Through his Tesla Cybertruck Facebook group, Jeremy writes…

“Just in case people want to try something funny on my Cybertruck, I can have my evidence and send them to prison.”

Below his post, Jermey includes a picture of his Cybertruck center touchscreen showing him turning on the Sentry Mode feature.

This feature enables the Cybertruck to utilize its eight full self-driving cameras for security purposes.

As we have seen recently, several Tesla vandals have been caught in the act, and their pictures have been shared all over the internet.

First of all, damaging someone’s property is never acceptable; however, with a Tesla, it’s even worse because the vehicle can capture video of the perpetrators during the act and potentially result in a prison sentence for the offenders.

Looking at the comments, Jeremy’s post created a major argument between Tesla fans and detractors.

Some Tesla owners wanted to go further than arming the sentry camera to stop the vandals.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Ben Kippen, asks…

“I’ve been curious about the legality of setting up a bait Tesla and standing by with a paintball gun to target people who try to spray paint the bait.

I'm not going to be the one to do it, but I mean, if it’s legal, someone might. Just imagine them running off covered in paint.

Any lawyers want to weigh in? It would make a great video.”

I’m not a lawyer, but this doesn’t seem like the type of action that will be covered under self-defense laws.

Ben’s suggestion was primarily a humorous one; however, in response, several other Tesla critics proposed various methods for individuals to avoid detection by the sentry cameras.

A Tesla detractor, Robert Rex Winslow, writes, “Humans have an incognito mode,” and below his post shared a video of a man putting on a mask.

Again, here it’s important to point out that, no matter people’s grievances with Elon Musk, harassing individual owners is not fair, and vandalizing Tesla shops and Tesla vehicles is a crime that could land a person a felony charge.

There are tens of millions of people who are unhappy with Elon Musk’s politics as there are tens of millions of people who are happy with his actions.

For those who do not support Elon Musk, there are peaceful ways to voice their opposition, and resorting to crime is not acceptable in any manner.
