Recap of the FSD Problem
Earlier we’ve reported on how well Tesla’s FSD performs on busy San Francisco traffic under close quarter conditions that showed some surprising improvements. However, news of late has been focused on the level of risk of accidents---and even deaths---after Tesla received a letter from the NHTSA that federal vehicle safety regulators were launching a formal investigation into Tesla and its Autopilot system based on a series of fatal crashes that have left at least 17 people injured and 1 dead.
This came around the same time that Consumer Reports analysts acknowledged from their evaluations of FSD that “It is not there yet,” and news that it’s not just Tesla, but many other vehicles equipped with driver assist features that users have shown how easy it is to defeat safety feature protections against unsafe driving conditions while under FSD and other driver assisted features.

That said, here is what could be the best current video addressing not just impressions about the current version of FSD, but how that FSD should be used safely to ensure the continual development and improvement of FSD that is necessary toward governmental and public acceptance of driving under FSD.
