Tesla On Pace For a Record Q4 2023
There are those who have called Tesla a "busted growth story" for many years now, yet here we are, at the end of 2023, and Tesla is set to have yet another record number of deliveries. No matter how anyone tries to spin this, Tesla continues to crush it and lead the EV revolution.
Tesla does not build any hybrid or gas cars - not now and will not ever. The only time I could see anything other than a battery used is if Tesla built a large enough flying car that needed to use some kind of homemade artificial fuel source for a rocket or engine of some kind.
What this means is that all of Tesla's vehicles are pure EVs. Other companies, like BYD, VW, and Toyota build hybrids, which have a gas tank and a smaller battery. Those vehicles defeat the purpose of transitioning the world to sustainable energy, and Tesla won't build any like that.

In an end of the year sales rush, Tesla has been dropping prices on its existing inventory and offering a free 6 months of free supercharging.
Tesla has even sent a text to early Cybertruck reservation holders offering an additional $1,000 off and non-Cybertruck Tesla just for having a Cybertruck pre-order.
James Cat, From X, had this to say about the end of this quarter:
Consensus is 480k, which was my number to start the quarter.
I lowered it temporarily after the Nov Europe data was released to 470k, then raised it twice to 475k and back to 480k this week. The reason for both increases was over performance vs my expectations in China.
I will review the last couple of days of Europe data but there is a good chance I will end the Q at 480k. Back full circle.
According to Troy Teslike on X, James was the most accurate to estimate the last 4 quarters: Q4 2022 through Q3 2023 deliveries.

A Record Breaking Quarter, Q4 2023
Tesla is going to have another record-breaking quarter and will likely deliver around 480,000 vehicles or more. Some think Tesla will deliver as many as 500,000, but my conservative estimate is 483,000 for the quarter.
This will put Tesla over the 1.8 million delivery mark for this year and set them up to deliver over 2 million vehicles next year - and with some ramping of the Cybertruck, which Tesla is sandbagging production on, Tesla could get to 2.3 million vehicles delivered next year in 2024.

Tesla has made a "poker move for the ages" in lowering prices and snatching up market share of EVs with lowered prices. As interest rates come down, Tesla will most likely slowly raise prices again.
Lower interest rates mean lower monthly payments, which means more people can buy a Tesla.
With the Cybertruck ramping next year, and a likely announcement of Giga India next year. All the pieces will be in place for Tesla to get to around 11 million vehicles per year by 2027/2028.
Most of these will be the upcoming next generation compact car, which will sell at a price point between $20,000 to $25,000.
