Tesla Exports Hundreds of Model 3 and Model Y to Thailand - What This Means for Tesla

We see a picture of hundreds of Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles getting ready to ship to Thailand. Why this is important for Tesla.

Tesla Exports to Thailand

We see several hundred Model 3 and Model Y vehicles getting ready for export to Thailand. This is happening just over one month ago when orders for Tesla's vehicles opened up for the first time there.

There was a little known Tesla event held at a mall in Bangkok to launch the Tesla design studio in Thailand. Tesla said that the first shipment of cars from its Giga Shanghai factory would arrive sometime in February, but Tesla appears to be ahead of that schedule.

The photo taken here was from Laem Chabang Port, which is located south of Bangkok. This is the several hundred Model 3 and Model Y vehicles that are being held in a lot after being driven off a cargo ship.

The Model 3 and Model Y have 3 variants - a standard range, a long range, and a performance version. These are all available for purchase in Thailand.

Why This is Important To Tesla

This is good news for Tesla - especially since Tesla is ahead of schedule for its exports to Thailand. It is also important because Tesla now has another export hub for its vehicles from Giga Shanghai - Thailand.

The fact that right after orders opened, that several hundred Model 3 and Model Y vehicles were ordered is a good sign for Tesla. Tesla is pricing its EVs in a competitive way with the market.

Tesla has sent emails to reservation holders in Thailand that the lower prices will be honored, even if when they ordered the prices were higher. This is an honest and correct move by Tesla.

Supposedly, Tesla received about 5,000 orders for its vehicles in the first four days after opening orders to Thailand. This will be a good export hub for Giga Shanghai and hopefully more export hubs open up for Tesla.

Is Tesla exporting to Thailand a good thing? Where else will Tesla start to export?
