Tesla's Breakneck Pace of FSD Releases
Tesla has released yet another version of its FSD software. Once version 12 was released, it seems we have been getting updates faster and faster. Just over the last month, we have gotten these updates:
- Version 12.1 (December 24, 2023)
- Version 12.2 (February 9, 2024)
- Version 12.3 (March 12, 2024)
- Version 12.3.1 (March 24, 2024)
- Version 12.3.2 (March 26, 2024)
- Version 12.3.2.1 (March 27, 2024)
The time from 12.2 to 12.3 was only a month. The time from 12.3 to 12.3.2.1 was just two weeks. Each of these incremental updates is providing significant value.

This latest version, as seen by Dirt Tesla driving on a dirt road with his wife, showed the Tesla vehicle slowing from 15 miles per hour to 8 miles per hour for a puddle on the side of the road. As the car drove over that puddle, there was a slight dip in the road, showing that the car did the right thing.

A Nice Surprise With Each FSD Update
Each of these incremental updates of FSD are going to fix various things - speed bumps, puddles, hitting curbs, odd construction problems, speed limit issues, etc... as Tesla's FSD now is doing the march of 9's to get to a high enough quality for a wide release and one day to not have a driver in the seat.

As Dirty Tesla's car went over the puddle, his wife mentioned the puddle and said she was ok with that. Dirty Tesla said that was actually pretty cool.
This is something they haven't seen the car do before. As FSD becomes more adapt at handling situations around it without any intervention or disengagement needing to be done, it's going to accelerate in usage.
There is going to be a "land grab" of Tesla vehicles as Tesla's vehicles will start to go up significantly in value due to the robotaxi opportunity - being able to let your car drive around for people that pay for your service - a driverless Uber.
Look for more and more videos starting to surface of all the amazing things FSD will be able to do over time. The progress is accelerating!

What do you think about this latest update from FSD, and it's now handling puddles carefully? Is the pace of change accelerating rapidly?
