This week, Turn 10 and Lamborghini announced the Centenario would grace the cover of the next Forza game that will be shown later this year at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Along with cover, the Centenario will be available "First in Forza," allowing players to drive the virtual version before the production model rolls off the assembly line.
"Working with Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios allows a global audience the chance to share in the emotion of driving the Centenario, the most powerful Lamborghini produced to date," said Mr. Reggiani, board member for research and development of Automobili Lamborghini.
This is the second Lamborghini model that has been featured on a Forza cover. The Hurrican was chosen to be the vehicle featured on the cover for Forza Horizon 2 in 2014.
Wait, what is the Centenario?
The Centenario is Lamborghini's latest exclusive supercar. It was built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth - the man would who start the Italian sportscar maker. Using the Aventador as a base, Lamborghini fits new bodywork with an endless amount of vents and a massive rear diffuser. The 6.5L V12 has been reworked to increase horsepower from 700 to 770. 0-62 mph only takes 2.8 seconds. Top speed is 217 mph.
Lamborghini is planning to build 20 Centenario coupes and 20 Centenario convertibles, each one costing 1.75 million Euros (about $1.9 million). Before you ask, all of the Centenarios have been sold.
