The latest version of the Continental GT Speed now features 633 horsepower and 619 pound-feet of torque. These are small increases from the 626 horsepower and 604 pound-feet found in the current model. But the extra power does shave a tenth of a second from the 0 to 60 mph time (3.9 seconds vs. 4.0 seconds).
Bentley has a habit of adding more power to the Continental GT Speed since the first iteration in 2007 which offered 602 horsepower. This was increased to 616 in 2012, and then to 626 in 2014.
Along with this power increase, Bentley has introduced an exclusive version of the Continental GT Speed. Call the Black Edition, this model features gloss black trim and a set of 21-inch wheels finished in black.
“We have developed the GT Speed Black Edition to meet demand from customers for a model in the Continental line that offers both increased sporting capabilities and instantly recognisable styling cues. The Black Edition has a subtle but purposeful look that is backed up by exceptional performance,” said Paul Jones, Product Line Director for Continental GT in a statement.
