Three Reasons the Ram Brand Wins Prestigious Award for Third Year in a Row

The Ram Brand has received dozens of different awards since the Ram 1500 was designed. This recent award is notable because it recognizes industry-wide excellence. U.S. News & World Report has named Ram Truck as the “Best Truck Brand” for 2022. This is the third year in a row that Ram Truck has earned the honor. The website cited the strength of the 2022 Ram 1500 as the basis for the decision. In its write-up, U.S. News notes “The 2022 Ram 1500 is one of our highest-rated full-size pickup trucks. It’s powerful, capable, and comfortable, with no notable weaknesses”.

U.S. News Lists 3 Main Reasons for the Award

Versatility- U.S. News is impressed with the vehicle’s versatility. It praised the Ram Brand for its capability as a work truck but also its ability to be a family vehicle. The magazine and website noted that the Ram 1500 is comfortable enough to be a family’s main vehicle. Ram is the only truck brand to ever finish first in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study (2021), which tracks new vehicle performance over the first three months of ownership.

Upgraded Interior- U.S. News takes note of the Ram’s upgraded interior. Ram prides itself on using high-grade leather and real wood in its trucks. It is credited with adding luxury to the affordable truck segment. It has also been in the forefront of creating a more comfortable interior, adding more headroom, legroom and even reclining rear seats.

Technology- The Ram 1500 was the first pickup to add a huge touchscreen as the center of the infotainment system. U.S. News lauds Ram for leading the pack with top-of-the-line connectivity and ease of using the touchscreen while driving. The 2022 Ram 1500 features Uconnect 5 which is five times faster than previous generations.

U.S. News evaluated 36 different car, truck, SUV and luxury brands. The scores are based on safety scores, reliability, and automotive press reviews.
