Top Features of 2022 Toyota RAV4 Adventure You May Not Know

One of the most attractive draws of Toyota RAV4 is the sheer number of trim levels available. This way, people in the market for a RAV4 have multiple choices based on mpg, features, utility, versatility, and price.

I had the good fortune to evaluate a 2022 Toyota RAV4 Adventure (in Lunar Rock color) this week, and I found several reasons that make this grade worthy of consideration.

2022 RAV4 Adventure AWD

It is true, RAV4 Adventure does share similar traits with the rest of the RAV4 gasoline-powered lineup. You will find a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Look for 203 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. torque with this specific grade.

However, Toyota RAV4 Adventure is more off-road capable than most. Dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive offers the ability to send engine torque to both front and rear axles as needed. It can also, when encountering rain or snow or mud or sand, send more torque to individual left and right wheels as needed.

Plus, standard multi-terrain select has settings for “mud & sand” and “rock & dirt” terrain that can be changed on the fly.

Now drivers can travel across many conditions and over many obstacles that might not have been possible without these systems in RAV4.

2022 Toyota RAV4 Adventure Towing

Typically, Toyota RAV4 owners will see tow capacities around 1,500 or 1,750 pounds. But with the RAV4 Adventure (and RAV4 TRD), plan for a 3,500-pound towing capacity.

Better utility. Great versatility. More possibilities.

Orange - I see Orange

Just look for the orange accents throughout the interior cabin and you will know for sure you are in a Toyota RAV4 Adventure.

Orange seat accents. Orange accent stitching. Plus, orange cup holder and center bin accents.

My media vehicle utilized the orange in a subtle way where it was not dominating or overwhelming.

Not every person will like this. Many will. But again, this is part of the charm of this particular trim.

Time for your Toyota RAV4 Comments

Overall, I found the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Adventure to drive and ride smooth and comfortable. I really liked the embossed SofTex seating, with heated seats. There was good rear seat leg and head room for my passengers.

If you are into upgrading with accessories, I recommend purchasing mudguards, all-weather floor liners and all-weather cargo mat, and roof rack cross bars (they just look cool on the vehicle).
