I'd be interested to know if they plan to build this in gasoline only or if they'll offer the CNG, LPG, diesel, and electric versions they do for the commercial ones.
But I think there might be a little close to the C Max Energi and hybrid. CNG would be cool, but in a family car it is hard to see unless the filling staions were more widespread. Which is a shame.
CNG and the rest are only options and Ford actually outsources them if a customer orders it on the fleet versions, so I wondered if they'd offer the same to consumers. I don't think they make any of the non-gasoline or diesel versions in-house and I think the diesel is Europe-only right now.
Honda Motor has revealed a micro car meant as a short-distance commuter platform meant primarily for city and off-highway driving with a relatively short range and fast charging time.

No more EV

at least it seems like it since Azure Dynamics folded. It was a good platform. I test drove the prototypes back in 2009 and was impressed.
In House?

I thought Ford was going to do the EV in-house? At least, that's what I recall the rep telling me when we tested the Focus Electric.
I think Azure's problem is that they were hoping Ford would just buy them up and were conducting business accordingly.
