Today Volkswagen unveiled the interior of the ID.4 interior, which shows its simplicity is taking some inspiration from Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. In fact, it looks like many EVs including Ford Mach E, with their interior simplicity, also take inspiration from a trend, started by Tesla Model 3.
VW ID.4 is going to be the first VW electric SUV coming to the North American market.
From Volkswagen Media.
Prior to its world premiere later this month, Volkswagen details the interior of the all-new ID.4. The Volkswagen brand’s first fully-electric SUV features ample space, a modern design, and high-effect lighting.
Klaus Zyciora, Head of Volkswagen Group Design, developed the vehicle with his team in his former role as Head of Volkswagen Brand Design. He summarizes the interior of the versatile SUV in a striking formula: “Freedom on the outside, free space on the inside. The ID.4 brings a new sense of space to its category thanks to the new MEB platform, our modular electric drive matrix.”
The door handles on the ID.4 lie flush with the body and come with electric unlocking. Driver and passengers access the vehicle through large door openings and benefit from a high seating position, while the rear seat bench offers plenty of space for passengers. It is also easy to stow away plenty of luggage—the cargo area boasts 30.3 cubic feet with the rear seat up.
