Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18th and just in case the movie needs any more publicity, the folks from Dodge have decorated a trio of high performance cars with in Star Wars fashion that will “patrol” the Los Angeles area from today through Monday, December 14th. To be clear, these cars aren’t actually patrolling anything, but they will be touring Los Angeles in an effort to promote both the Dodge brand and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Star Wars Dodge Cars on Patrol
Following up on the uniquely decorated Fiat 500 at the LA Auto Show and the new commercials showing the Viper ACR as Darth Vader followed by scores of Challengers and Chargers serving as Stormtroopers, the Chrysler Group has come up with one more unique way to promote their brand and the upcoming Star Wars movie at the same time. The company took a Dodge Viper ACR in black, a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in white and a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat in white and wrapped each of them in a livery based on a character from The Force Awakens. The two white Hellcat cars are done up to look like the armored uniforms of the Empire’s Stormtroopers while the black Viper ACR is inspired by the wicked villain Kylo Ren.
Fans who live in the Los Angeles area can follow the progress of the Star Wars inspired Dodge Viper ACR, Hellcat Challenger and Hellcat Charger by following the #Dodge and #TheForceAwakens has tags. The team will be posting where they are headed each day and once there, fans will have a chance to check out these monster Mopar performance cars in person while also getting pictures with the most powerful muscle car ever, the most powerful sedan in the world and the most track capable Viper of all time.
For those who don’t live in the LA area and who do not have a chance to check out these Star Wars themed Mopar performance cars in person, you should probably just watch the video below, depicting the Viper as Darth Vader and the Hellcat cars as his army of Stormtroopers.
