Superchips Lifts the 2015 Ford F150 EcoBoost to 408hp, 493tq

The 2015 Ford F150 is the lightest and most powerful half ton truck lineup from the Motor Company ever, making it the most capable as well. However, the truck performance market is one of the biggest in the US, so tuning companies like Superchips have been hard at work developing plug-and-play performance upgrades for the aluminum F150 with the base 3.5L V6, the 5.0L V8 and the top of the line 3.5L EcoBoost V6. Oddly, the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 is not included, but for those folks who bought one of the other three 2015 F150 engines – there are big gains to be had from the Superchips programmer.

The people from Superchips have developed tuning packages for the 2015 Ford F150 with the naturally aspirated 3.5L V6, the naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 and the twin turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6.

The F150 with the 5.0L V8 benefits the least, with peak gains of 13 horsepower and 15lb-ft of torque leading to total output figures of 398 horsepower and 402lb-ft of torque.

The naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 picks up 16 horsepower and 27lb-ft of torque for 298 horsepower and 280lb-ft of torque.

The 3.5L EcoBoost engine benefits the most, with gains of 43 horsepower and 73lb-ft of torque. When added to the stock figures of 365 horsepower and 420lb-ft of torque, the 2015 F150 with the Superchips tune packs 408 horsepower and 493lb-ft of torque. Those are monster numbers.

More Than Just Power
