Lectron Announces Three New EV Chargers

Lecton is one of the electric vehicle charging companies that Torque News has followed for many years. This manufacturer of high-quality chargers is keeping pace with the ever-changing landscape of EV ownership. Coming this summer are three new chargers we thought readers would like to know about in case they plan to shop for an EV charger in the near future.

Lectron Portable Level 1 EV Charger - Priced Under $150
Owners of plug-in hybrids know that a level 2 charger isn't really necessary. With this 115-Volt charger, an owner can recharge overnight. If you need an additional mobile charger, this is a great one to consider. It is presently priced at just $139 on Lectron's website. Those who charge at work or at a second home could leave this charger on-site and not need to carry it back and forth. The charger is rated for up to 15 amps, is ETL Certified, and has a 16-foot cord length.

Lectron Portable Level 2 EV Charger - Price under $250
If you own a battery-electric vehicle and want a charger that can plug into any NEMA 14-50 receptacle, this is a great portable charger. This charger uses the J1772 standard (J-Plug). Rated at 240V and 40 Amps, this charger will quickly charge any BEV. The charger handle is UL 2251 certified, and the charger itself is Energy Star, ETL, and FCC certified. What caught our eye was the price. It is just $240 on Lectron’s website today. 

Lectron Commercial EV charger 48 Amp - Level 2 - 11.5kW - Priced under $600
Lectron’s newest charger is now available for pre-order. This new commercial EV charger is ready for pre-order, with shipments commencing in just a few weeks. This commercial charger uses the SaaS Management Platform offers Dynamic Load Balancing, and has WiFi/4G connectivity. It can be pedestal or wall mounted. Customers will find the 20-foot cable very convenient. This Commercial EV Charging Station may qualify for federal and state tax credits, as well as certain local utility rebates - which, in some cases, can completely cover the cost of installation.
