Review - WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator

We test and offer our opinions on the high-speed WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator made for larger off-road tires.

We’ve been testing a lot of compact, lightweight portable tire inflators as of late. Most are intended as an emergency inflator for one tire, or to add a few pounds to all your four tires as the winter temps drop. The WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator is different. It is intended for adding volume to all four tires when off-roading or similar.

Unboxing the WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator
Our first impression of the WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro was that it was more substantial than the other inflators we have owned and tested. It weighs just under 5 pounds, and its dimensions are 4.16"L x 4.16"W x 9.3"H. It feels beefy and strong in your hands. Much of the weight is likely from the 12,000 mAh capacity battery.

The box contains all of the accessories a premium inflator should have, including:

  • Pump
  • Air hose
  • DC charger for a car connection
  • USB-C connector for wall charging
  • Pin for inflating sports balls
  • A spare fuse
  • A Presta valve adapter for thin bicycle tires
  • Carrying case
  • Instruction manual (quite good, quite clear)

What Makes the WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator Special?
This unit has a maximum flow rate of 58 liters per minute of air. This is so you can add volume quickly to large tires. In addition, the pump has a much sturdier air hose made with a larger girth. The connector is not a snap-down, snap-up style, but rather, threaded for a more secure connection to your tire.

Using the WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator
We tested the pump with a Ford Bronco Sport Badlands SUV. This tough vehicle has 29.1-inch tires with large sidewalls. These were the biggest tires we had access to. The screw-on adapter took a moment longer than a snap adapter would, but not in a negative way. It actually feels more secure. The pump performed as expected, and although we didn't have much air to add, the higher low rate seemed obvious. The 11-inch air hose could be a smidge longer, but it got the job done without us having to reposition the vehicle. Including the height of the pump, the reach is about 20 inches from the ground. The unit can quickly be disassembled and repacked inside its case easily. It fits inside with ease.

The pump is relatively large compared to the mini inflators we have tested, but would certainly fit in the cargo area of an SUV, or perhaps under a rear seat. My Bronco Sport has a perfect spot for it there. The manufacturer suggests re-charging every three months. However, if you did let the battery run down you could always use the DC charging cable in a pinch.

Special Added Features of the WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator
In addition to being a pump, the WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator also has an LED light with multiple modes of operation, and it can act as a smartphone charger using its large-capacity battery. Both of these would be very handy tools in a power outage situation or if one breaks down while traveling.

The Look and Feel of the WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator
The most striking part of the pump’s design is its semi-transparent plastic outer casing. You can see the insides, and it looks very cool. The buttons feel of high quality. The air hose is hands-down the most rugged of any we have tested or owned. Overall, this feels like a well-built, sturdy pump.

WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator - Price and Warranty
The pump retails at Amazon for $109.99 but was on sale for Prime members for just $87 during the week of our testing. There is a version of this pump with a “quick-chuck” adapter, which we refer to as a snap-on, snap-off connector. We would opt for that one. It only adds ten dollars, and in fact, the bundle was less expensive than the main unit at Amazon, selling for just $84.99. The warranty is 18 months.

WOLFBOX MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator - Conclusion
Overall, we’d score this unit 5 stars, but we recommend adding the quick chuck adapter since it ironically lowers the price. This unit would work well for those with large vehicle tires or any vehicle, bicycle, or sports ball use.

Test Note: WOLFBOX provided this pump at no charge. As with all products we test, we offered to return it when our testing was complete, but WOLFBOX suggested we keep the unit or pass it on. We gifted it to a local landscaping company.
