The Next-Generation Subaru Crosstrek Was Just Spotted And See 2 New Videos

The Subaru Crosstrek gets a complete remodel for the 2023 model year, and some changes are coming. The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek was spotted driving recently in Southern California, and it gives us some idea of what the exterior changes will be when it arrives next year.

The next-generation Crosstrek subcompact SUV is completely covered in camouflage, but no padded panels give the new all-wheel-drive model a clearer view.

Subaru Crosstrek enthusiasts who are hoping for a drastic exterior styling change will be disappointed. Subaru Corporation will not make any significant exterior changes, but the next-generation Crosstrek will get a new facia with headlights like the new Forester compact SUV.

There will be minor changes to the rear of the new Crosstrek as it keeps its C-shaped taillights. Subaru engineers could make the tailgate opening wider as they did with the next-generation Forester.

What changes are coming to the 2023 Crosstrek?

We know from sources close to Subaru; the automaker will launch a new Crosstrek Wilderness trim level in 2023. With the 2022 Forester Wilderness powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter engine, Crosstrek Wilderness will likely keep its 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer.

Subaru could decide to upgrade the Crosstrek's current 2.5-liter naturally aspirated Boxer engine with additional horsepower. But true to form, the Japanese automaker is tight-lipped about releasing any information on the all-new outdoor adventure model.

Like Outback and Forester Wilderness trim levels, the all-new Crosstrek Wilderness will come with an advanced dual function X-Mode, elevated 9.2-inch ground clearance like Forester, standard front and rear skid plates, and an upgraded off-road suspension.

The next-generation 2023 Subaru Crosstrek will make its global launch first in early 2023, and the Crosstrek Wilderness will arrive in the U.S. in the spring of 2023. Check out the video below to see it spotted in Southern California.
