Stunning 2015 Subaru WRX breaks cover before LA reveal

We knew it was coming and the much-anticipated reveal of the all-new 2015 Subaru WRX is getting closer. Subaru gives us a glimpse of the new performance model with a teaser image of the front end of the next-generation WRX and it’s going to be all-new from the ground up. According to the press release today, this will be the U.S, spec model they will bring to the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The iconic Subaru's AWD performance model will make its global debut on November 20 at the Subaru booth at the opening press day.

Subaru tells us that in addition to the all-new WRX, a design concept model will also make the world premiere at the LA Show starting next week. It will be an exciting week as Subaru performance fans have waited a long time for the next-generation model. Subaru will bring the new global introduction along with 21 other automakers introductions next month. What can we expect to see when the new 2015 WRX is officially revealed?

We know from a report last week from Australia Subaru boss Nick Senior, that the nex-generation Subaru WRX will come with a higher price tag but also higher performance, new equipment and refinement gains “to sweeten the offer.” And from the looks of the teaser image from Subaru, it will get new stunning styling to go along with the increase in horsepower.

Subaru has completely remodeled the 2015 WRX to be more appealing to a larger audience than ever before. Subaru is going after a new generation of global buyers who have never purchased a Subaru vehicle before. From those reports, it appears the new 2015 WRX will come with an upgraded interior and refinements and also significant extra equipment to appeal to that wider audience.

Senior told Motoring.au recently, "I think the real DNA of WRX over the time has been its driving credentials, and I know certainly from the factory point of view, the driving experience of the new WRX was paramount... I've had the opportunity to drive it and I think it will not disappoint any of those existing customers. But I think it will appeal to new customers because of the changes that they've made. Everyone's conscious that we need to widen the appeal of the WRX, and I'm certain that this car is going to hit the mark," he said.

This next-gen WRX is to make its launch in early 2014 and will be followed by the new 2015 WRX STI that should arrive shortly after the WRX makes its launch according to Senior. He indicated the high-performance model will come within two month’s of the WRX launch which will be much sooner than in the past. In the past, there has been as much as 18 months between model launches. But this time, Subaru will shorten the time to just a couple months according to Senior.
