The latest analysis from iSeeCars found that the 20 fastest-selling new cars and SUVs during January are the hot Subaru Crosstrek (number eight) and the 2022 Subaru Forester (number thirteen). Why are the Forester and Crosstrek in high demand?

The refreshed Subaru Forester and newly upgraded Subaru Crosstrek are consistently ranked high for their standard all-wheel-drive, top safety crash scores, utility, fuel economy, and all-weather capability.

iSeeCars analyzed over 280,000 new and used cars sold in January 2022 and found that the average new car takes 36.3 days to sell.

The Subaru Crosstrek is the fastest-selling small SUV in 2022

The newly upgraded Crosstrek subcompact SUV is the fastest-selling small SUV to start the new year. The Subaru Crosstrek takes only 17.6 days to sell, with an average transaction price of $29,472, up from last year’s average price of $28,882.

The Crosstrek is a hot all-wheel-drive SUV for Subaru of America, and retailers can’t get their hands on enough of them.

“Limited inventory of Subaru models led to an 8.7 percent reduction in sales in January compared to 2021,” said iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer. “Both the Crosstrek and Forester were refreshed for 2022, and dealers have limited inventory of these popular models and are now charging above MSRP for the Crosstrek.”

What is the price of the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek?

The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek comes in five trim levels for customers. The base trim is priced from $23,570, Premium ($24,720), Sport ($27,920), Limited ($29,420) and Crosstrek Hybrid ($37,895). Prices include destination and delivery fees that increase +$75 ($1,125).

2022 Subaru Forester is the second-fastest-selling small SUV in 2022

The 2022 Subaru Forester is now the second-fastest-selling small SUV and thirteenth-fastest selling vehicle in America, taking 18.4 days to sell. The average transaction price for the new Forester is $34,231, up from last year’s average price of $32,750.

The Subaru Forester is still Subaru’s number-one-selling model in the lineup. The ongoing supply chain issues continue to limit the inventory of compact SUVs.

What is the price of the 2022 Subaru Forester?

The 2022 Subaru Forester arrives in October and comes in six trim levels; The base Forester starts at $26,320, Premium ($29,320), Sport ($30,890), Limited ($33,000), new Wilderness ($33,945), and Touring ($36,420). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,125).

The Subaru Crosstrek is now the fastest-selling small SUV in America in 2022. The 2022 Subaru Forester is Subaru of America’s number one selling model and the second-fastest selling small SUV in America to start the new year. Both models will be hard to find this spring.
