The much anticipated all-new 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek is about to officially arrive in showrooms, and the Japanese automaker has given buyers a full-color 22 page online dynamic brochure in advance. A few dealers in Colorado were able to get the new XV Crosstrek ahead of shipments for buyers to sit in and get an idea of what the new crossover will feel like. Now buyers can go online and check out all the features and options and build their own XV Crosstrek.
Subaru has already released pricing on the two available models. The Premium model will start at $22,745 and comes with a Lineartronic CVT, Power moonroof, Touch-screen navigation system, including 6.1-in. LCD screen, voice-activated controls, single-disc CD player, iPod control capability, iTunes tagging, USB port, SMS messaging capability, XM Satellite Radio and XM NavTraffic.
The Limited version starts at $25,245 and adds automatic climate control system, auto on/off headlights, AM/FM stereo with HD Radio, plus 4.3-in. LCD display screen, iTunes tagging and rear vision camera, leather-trimmed upholstery, rear seat armrest with dual cupholders and upgraded instrumentation. Optional on the Limited is a navigation system and moonroof package.
Subaru has said the XV Crosstrek is “the most fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive crossover utility in America.” The 2013 Crosstrek will be best-in-class and achieve 33 mpg on the highway when equipped with the CVT automatic. The new crossover will feature Subaru’s legendary Symmetrical all-wheel-drive and it will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine producing 148 horsepower and 145 lb. ft. of torque.
Compact crossover utility vehicles are among the fastest growing segments in the industry and Subaru will face some fierce competition. Subaru is counting on attracting a younger demographic with its go-anywhere active lifestyle attitude. The all-new brochure gives buyers a taste of what the XV Crosstrek really has to offer. The dynamic brochure shows the new exterior colors and interior color combinations. It gives buyers the ability to build there very own XV Crosstrek online.
