A New Video Shows a Tesla Cybertruck Sustaining Moderate Damage Despite Rolling Over Multiple Times

Elon Musk and Tesla have once again been vindicated for the Cybertruck’s function over form design. The Cybertruck’s thick stainless steel panels and sturdy triangular silhouette have protected the truck’s passengers after rolling over multiple times.

As more and more Cybertrucks have started to get into customers’ hands, we have shared several Cybertruck accidents and their aftermath over the past few weeks.

A Cybertruck on a highway in New York state ran over a deer at 75 miles per hour. While a collision with a deer at 75mph would be a major incident for most vehicles on the road, the Cybertruck driver says his vehicle performed exceptionally, and the deer bounced off the Cybertruck cleanly.

We’ve also reported another incident involving a Cybertruck and a Ram pickup truck. The Ram pickup rear-ended the Cybertruck, leaving a Ram-shaped scratch on the Cybertruck. The Ram, on the other hand, was totaled.

There were also other Cybertruck crashes. In one incident, the driver claimed his Cybertruck accelerated on its own to cause the accident. In the video, the Cybertruck wheels can be heard screeching as the all-electric truck speeds straight into a house.

Other Cybertruck incidents include a crash between a Cybertruck and a Nissan Sentra. In this incident, you can see a chunk of the Nissan Sentra’s body taken away by the Cybertruck’s stainless steel exoskeleton and the Sentara’s body hanging off pinched between the Cybertruck’s thick stainless steel panels.

In all the accidents involving a Cybertruck, the central theme is that despite the magnitude of the accident, the all-electric truck always protected its occupants, and the Cybertruck looks far less damaged than what the circumstances of the accidents would suggest.

It has been incredible to see the Cybertruck’s sturdiness, and today, a new video showing a Tesla Cybertruck following a rollover accident is making rounds online. The video was captured by @yoitstram on TikTok.

There isn’t a lot of detail currently available about the circumstances of the accident. However, the person who shared the video says, “When they say Cybertrucks are ugly and unreliable, but this is the only damage after rolling over multiple times.”

The video shows a Cybertruck loaded onto a tow truck following a rollover incident. Any vehicle can roll over; that isn’t noteworthy; however, what is surprising is how little the Cybertruck was damaged by the accident.

The Cybertruck in question has a nice gray/blue wrap, and as you can see, the Cybertruck did not come out after rolling over multiple times completely unscathed; the vehicle’s plastic trims and glass are severely damaged, the windshield, the passenger side window, and the small window right under the A-pillar are completely shattered. Additionally, the rear wheel is completely sheered off.

However, besides the damage to the glass, plastic trims, and wheels. The Cybertruck’s stainless steel exoskeleton and body look completely fine.

The front and rear passenger-side doors are slightly dented, and the roof pillars are damaged. However, the passenger compartment is completely intact. Moreover, the damage to the stainless steel appears as though it can be simply hammered out.

It’s almost unbelievable to see a 6,800-pound vehicle remain this intact despite rolling over multiple times, and this unfortunate accident vindicates Tesla and Elon Musk’s decision to design the Cybertruck’s form the way it is.

Since the Cybertruck was unveiled in 2019, many industry analysts have criticized its design and stated that Tesla had missed a big opportunity to break into the highly profitable pickup truck market by developing such an unconventional vehicle.

However, these people fail to grasp that the Cybertruck looks the way it does because it puts forward function over form.

The Cybertruck is completely made out of flat panels and has no curves because it has a thick stainless steel exoskeleton.

Unlike aluminum and thin sheets of steel, it is exceedingly difficult to form the Cybertruck’s thick stainless steel body panels into curves. Elon Musk said that if you tried to stamp the Cybertruck’s thick stainless steel into curves, the stainless steel would break the stamping press.

Once the vehicle had straight edges, the Cybertruck’s triangular silhouette was another design choice. This was also a source of much ridicule, but the triangle is the strongest and most rigid linear shape, and Tesla decided to construct the Cybertruck triangularly to give the vehicle extra durability.

As you can see in the latest Cybertruck rollover incident, the triangle shape and the thick stainless steel panels have worked together to keep the passenger compartment intact.

We don’t have all the details regarding the accident; however, looking at the damage, it doesn’t appear the Cybertruck passengers have sustained major injuries despite rolling over multiple times.

Overall, we are happy to see the Cybertruck prove its ruggedness in different situations in the real world, and we hope the people who were involved in the recent rollover accident are okay.

Currently, this is all the information we have. However, we’ll be sure to keep you posted when we learn more about the circumstances of the Cybertruck rollover accident. Until then, make sure to visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.

This is just one of the many reasons I purchased my Cybertruck. Of course, the look of it is not for everyone. But no one can claim it is not safety first! Tesla has always placed a high value on safety. That is why I have driven then exclusively for over 10 years, and would never go back to any ICE vehicle. Further, I believe this is the best all-around vehicle I have ever owned!
