EVs Are Still Not Being Taken Seriously

You can tell that EVs aren't being taken seriously because there are federal tax credits being given out for hybrid vehicles.

There continues to be a pullback from legacy automakers on their EV plans, even though GM CEO Mary Barra said that by 2025, GM would overtake Tesla in EV sales.

Besides the internal combustion engine not being sustainable for the long-term future and cleanliness of the planet, those cars are limited in their ability to improve from technology.

EVs will continually improve as battery technology improves. As time goes on, the internal combustion engine will be left in the dust of EVs with superior technology, drive trains, electric motors, and batteries.

EVs will drive themselves and charge in 5 to 10 minutes in the future. EVs don't have a large combustion engine in the front of the car and are much more durable.

EVs are just plain safer and have a much better, stronger center of gravity than an internal combustion engine car.

EVs are coming down in price. Tesla started with a $35,000 Model 3 reveal way back in 2016. Inflation adjusted, and with the $7,500 tax credit, Tesla is offering this today with the 363 mile range Model 3 RWD long range.

Tesla Is Ready

Tesla is ready for the EV and robotaxi tidal wave. In fact, they are the leader. They are going to make a simplified robotaxi vehicle that they will be able to make millions of.

These robotaxi vehicles will drive people around for a fraction of the cost that Uber or Lyft can and will end up being much safer than any human driver - because the software and vehicle will always be improving and will always be paying attention.

Did you know that Elon Musk sees another doubling of miles before an intervention in Tesla's full self-driving software in August - THIS MONTH?

Tesla has factories around the world that will make robotaxi vehicles as they get ready to flood the world with autonomous vehicles. Nobody is prepared for this.

When I think about another company doing autonomous technology, there are a few Chinese EV makers that come to mind. But they are far behind Tesla.

Tesla seems to be the only company taking it seriously. The legacy automaker companies in the U.S. are going to have to license Tesla's technology. Or they will go out of business.

The EV and robotaxi tsunami may not hit this year - or even next, but it is coming, and when it starts, it will be rapid as we see autonomous EVs dominating transport.

Robotaxis without a driver will provide a safer and more private driving experience for a fraction of the cost.

It's inevitable, and so far, Tesla is the only company that has positioned themself to take advantage of it.

Problem is, no one is serious on the government side, as witnessed by a total ignorance of infrastructure expansion that is necessary to support increasing electrification. Are everyone in the west seeing more power plants, substations and powerlines and charging stations being built to replace gas pipelines and gas stations? Not where I am. They talk the talk but do not walk the walk, so I assume this is all another tech bubble and governments are happy to virtue signal but not really do much.

What is this? A Tesla infomercial presenting itself as objective news? So far, full vehicle autonomy has proven itself much harder to crack than Musk has said over the years. No SAE L5 permit has been issued to Tesla as far as I know. So how is Musk suppose to do all those robo taxi pilots he based his projections on, until the reveal date October 10th?
