2017 Kia Sedona joins Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna for 2016 as not only an Edmunds “ top 3” minivan purchase choice, but according to the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, (IIHS) one of the safest minivans on the road today.

For 2016, Kia Sedona’s frontal crash rating moves up from a “basic to a “superior thanks to electronic active safety and specifically, accident avoidance features. For model year 2017, Kia Sedona buyers will discover available Autonomous Emergency Braking (EMB) included in a very comprehensive active safety suite.

Although I believe that KIa Sedona takes the price point, Honda Odyssey may present a more comprehensive standard packaging, with Toyota Sienna taking the interior finish segment with unsurpassed fit and finish.
