Merrell and Jeep are teaming up on their second shoe collection and this one is designed to get fans out hiking on the trails. The Merrell Moab Speed 2 takes its inspiration from the 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, right down to the metallic blue stripe on the sides. The two companies earlier teamed up on Moab hiking boots. The collection went on sale this week.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Jeep brand again, whose sense of adventure is as daring as our own,” said Merrell Chief Marketing Officer Pallav Tamaskar. “Our design team has incorporated thoughtful, intentional features into our modern, lightweight Moab Speed 2 hiking boot.”
2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the nation’s top-selling plug-in hybrid. Jeep has used its innovative hybrid system to allow drivers to choose when they want to use their electric motor. Drivers can choose to use the EV propulsion out on the trail or driving out to go off-roading. Most off-roaders I’ve interviewed love to use the instant torque while out on the trail. Jeep has extended its 4xe technology to the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe and now the Jeep Gladiator 4xe. Merrell is hoping to harness that spirit of innovation in the Moab Speed 2 hiking collection.

Merrell and Jeep are Highlighting Their Off-Road Experience
The Moab Speed 2 looks like it is part trail runner and part hiking boot. The new generation of hiking shoes, draws from the Moab hiking boot and adds the latest innovations from athletic hikers. Merrell says it combines world-class comfort, traction and breathability, with a foam midsole for lightweight comfort. The Vibram lugs are designed to increase traction, while hiking. The boot also features breathable mesh lining, laces and webbing.
“Following a successful run with the first boot, we know our consumers are engaged and look forward to reaching a new audience through this second collaboration with Merrell,” said Kim Adams House, director of licensing and merchandise for Stellantis. “We’re proud to see the bold colors of the Jeep brand and our 4xe technology brought to life in a new future for adventure.”
Just in time for the holiday season, the collection will be available through Merrell and at key retailers.
