Why the 2021 Jeep Wrangler is Rated One of the Best Vehicles for Dog Lovers

Autotrader is out with its annual list of 10 Best Cars for Dog Lovers and the 2021 Jeep Wrangler is once again considered great for pet owners. This is the third year in a row that Wrangler makes the list alongside another popular pet hauler, the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica.

“Dog lovers tend to bring their furry buddies everywhere with them, so it’s a real decision-making factor for many shoppers when they are considering which new car to buy,” said Brian Moody, executive editor for Autotrader. “Whether you tend to bring your pet along for everyday errand running or you regularly take your dog on long trips, it’s important to consider your canine companion and which related features are important to you while car shopping.”

I’m trying to think back and I can’t remember seeing many Jeep Wranglers that don’t have dogs riding in them, especially out here in Colorado. The Jeep Wrangler seems perfect to bring your best friend along for the ride. The Wrangler can take you anywhere, plus you can take the roof off and the rugged interior is almost indestructible. What more could a pet owner ask for, except maybe the hundreds of Mopar accessories that include virtually everything to make Fido or Harley happy. Mopar makes pet kennels that are sized specifically to fit and be anchored in the Wrangler, plus they have floor mats and cargo mats to minimize any damage from a wet or anxious furry passenger.

The Autotrader list doesn’t specify which of the 2021 Wrangler models works best for Rocky or Bella. The 2021 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 392 and the 2021 Wrangler 4xe all have the same open-air versatility and similar interiors to make your furry companion fit right in.

2021 Chrysler Pacifica

It doesn’t surprise me that the spacious and comfortable 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is also on the list for the third year in a row. Chrysler is the brand that put the living room on wheels, so of course the family pet feels right at home. Pacifica’s exclusive Stow ‘n Go seating also gives the vehicle extra room to take along Spot’s toys. Again, Mopar has lots of accessories to improve the ride for your furry friend, including special pet kennels.

An additional new feature for the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is the FamCAM interior camera, which allows the people in the front to view occupants in the rear and even zoom in on doggie passengers. While the FamCAM is designed for parents who are concerned about children, it is a perfect tool to help the driver keep an eye on the dog in the back, while focusing on driving.
