Surprisingly, one perennial favorite, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan is not on the list, but Jeep has a new entry with the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L making the grade. Every year Autotrader ranks vehicles on pet friendly traits like durable seats, rugged interior, low cargo floor, cargo tie downs and accessories.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Builds on Pet Friendly Legacy

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the extended version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Jeep added a third row of seats to the always popular Jeep Grand Cherokee so that growing families could grow into a vehicle similar to what they were familiar with. In fact, Jeep recently released an advertisement called “Dents” about all the family memories made in Jeep Grand Cherokees. Getting a new dog is one of the most prominently featured events in the family’s history.

In selecting the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Autotrader writes,

“With six extra inches of wheelbase and 14 cubic feet more of overall cargo room than the standard Grand Cherokee, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is an excellent choice for owners of big dogs (or multiple small dogs). Fold down the third row of seating, and you can fit an extra-large crate in the back. Or if you have a big dog who likes to patrol all windows, your pet can move about without disturbing the headliner. Autotrader quotes Cox Automotive’s research which says 62% of dog owners take their dog in the car at least once weekly, and 77% consider their dog when deciding which vehicle to buy. Overwhelmingly, 92% feel their dogs are family or their best friends.
