November was a good month for Porsche as the automaker set an all-time monthly sales record. Porsche, the manufacturer of the Porsche 911, 718 Boxster, and Cayman, Panamera, Cayenne, and Macan, sold 5,555 units in November, a 0.8 percent increase over last year. On a year-to-date basis, the automaker’s retail deliveries are up 2.5 percent.
With 5,555 deliveries, we set a new all-time monthly record. In particular, our two-door sports cars – the Porsche 911 and the 718 model line == showed impressive double-digit growth versus last year,” Klaus Zellmer, president and chief exec of Porsche North America, said.
For example, Porsche 911 sales hit 976 units, nearly a 40 percent increase year-over-year. The 718 Boxster and Cayman line posted 522 retail deliveries, up 14.2 percent over November 2016. Meantime, sales of the Panamera sports sedan line hit 729, an almost 44 percent increase year-to-date. And, Macan continued in high demand with 1,981 vehicles sold, up 14 percent year to date.
The Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle program continued to remain a strong point for the automaker as the 1,749 certified pre-owned vehicles sold. This is a 23.4 percent increase over November 2016. Year-to-date sales are up 11.2 percent with nearly 17,000 models delivered for 2017.
For the year, Porsche delivered 51,507 vehicles for November versus 50,265 through the same month last year.
