2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road Package: What Features and How to Get It

Since I have up-close and intimate knowledge of the all-new 2022 Tundra, I consider it my responsibility to inform you of all the juicy details and specifications.

Including the Tundra TRD Off-Road Package.

2022 Toyota Tundra Off-Road

2022 Tundra Limited - Supersonic Red

Unlike 4Runner and Tacoma, Toyota Tundra does not have specific TRD Off-Road and TRD Sport trim levels. Rather, you can get both as part of available upgrade packages.

Both TRD Off-Road and TRD Sport Packages are installed at the factory level, which would be in San Antonio for Tundra.

I will write a separate upcoming story about Tundra TRD Sport.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road Package contains the following features: TRD wheels and TRD grille, TRD off-road suspension, skid plate, mudguards, and TRD leather shift knob.

2022 Tundra Configurations

2022 Tundra 1794 - Smoked Mesquite

There are six different trim levels (or grades). Buyers can choose from SR, SR5, Limited, 1794, Platinum, and TRD Pro.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road Package is available as an optional upgrade on SR5, Limited and 1794.

2022 Tundra Limited - Supersonic Red

I really like the black wheel design from what I have seen. I saw these eye-catchers in person on both 1794 and Limited grades.

Toyota Tundra will also be adding a new cab configuration for 2022. Look for Tundra CrewMax in both 5.5’ and 6.5’ bed lengths. This is something that Tundra fans and owners have been asking about for years, so many people should be pleased.

Double Cab is still offered with 6.5’ and 8.1’ beds.

We still do not know miles per gallon estimates and pricing. However, I expect this information will be revealed sooner than later.

Toyota Tundra 2022 is expected to start being available for retail sale by the end of this year.
