The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the most powerful American production car ever, so it comes as no surprise that quite a few of these 707 horsepower factory-built beasts are showing up at the drag strip to flex all of those muscles. We have featured a handful of different Hellcat Challengers from around the country, including one in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area that is running 10.70s with just a driveshaft and drag radial tires.
That Pittsburgh-based Mopar muscle car is seemingly the quickest stock-engine Hellcat Challenger in the world right now and the Dodge in the video below appears to me to be the quickest Hellcat Challenger in the world – period. I have not seen any proof of a Hellcat Challenger running a quicker quarter mile time so while this Mopar muscle car has quite a bit of work done, the quarter mile time of 10.2 is the best I’ve seen.
The 10.20 Hellcat Challenger
The details and description for this 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat are fairly brief, with no real information as to what has been done to get this Mopar muscle car down the track so much more quickly than all of the rest. The comments insist that the car is stock with drag radials, but we knew that couldn’t be true and, fortunately, a member of the Hellcat community dug up the details on this Challenger. Turns out that it is far from stock.
This Hellcat Challenger has been fitted with a custom air intake system that helps the Hellcat Hemi breath on the front end while American Racing headers and an exhaust system with no catalytic convertors helps it breath on the back end. There is also a methanol injection system to help keep temps down while a Nitrous Express system adds an extra 100 horsepower on its own. Finally, this Hellcat Challenger was tuned to bring these modifications together to make the most power possible. It should be noted that this is all with the stock pulley, so the boost output hasn’t been increased.
I have not seen any power figures for this particular Hellcat Challenger, but the bottom line is that with this 4,400lb Dodge blasting down the quarter mile in just 10.2 seconds while reaching a speed of 136 miles per hour, this factory supercharged Mopar got down the track faster than any other Hellcat Challenger we have seen anywhere.
If anyone reading this has proof of a Hellcat Challenger running a quicker, feel free to post about it in the comments. Otherwise, crank up your speakers and enjoy this video of the world’s quickest Hellcat Challenger in action.
