Subaru Russia is getting a new XV crossover that will available later this month. It’s the 15th anniversary of Subaru Motor and they are getting the special edition XV to commemorate the milestone. The distributor of Subaru vehicles in Russia prepared a special version of the XV that will be different from any other European models. What sets it apart?
Subaru says the main differences from other global models are the driving dynamics with suspension upgrades that will help reduce body roll and optimized steering. The special edition XV will also get additional noise insulation and an updated exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) for optimized combustion and reduced fuel consumption. The Crosstrek in the North American market received these upgrades in the 2015 models.
Inside, the 2016 XV Active Edition will feature a new multimedia system with a color LCD display and touch controls, a new steering wheel control design, new climate control, silver bezel ducts and new ignition key design. The front seat head restraints will be embroidered with the special edition logo.The XV’s interior also features bright orange stitching and decorative carbon trim. The seats will gets a special fabric with water-repellent coating for easy cleaning after a day getting away from civilization.
Outside, it will feature XV Active Edition wheels decorated with the six-star Subaru logo. The model is available in two exterior colors, Deep Sea Blue Pearl and Tangerine Orange Pearl. The special edition XV will be powered by a 2.0-liter boxer engine and comes mated to a Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission.
Subaru dropped XV and keeps the Crosstrek name in the North American market. While in other global markets, it’s called XV. Active Edition XV will be set apart with upgrades designed for those with active lifestyles. The distributor of Subaru vehicles in Russia, Subaru Motor, will get the new 2016 Subaru XV Active Edition to commemorate their 15th anniversary.
