Subaru Russia announced pricing for the 2015 Outback wagon. Will the Russians be able to get the new-generation Outback?

The new 2015 Subaru Outback is setting records all over the globe and Subaru Russia has just announced pricing for the SUV-alternative vehicle. Subaru Russia will launch the new Outback and dealers will be getting the first models beginning in July. Will Subaru be able to produce enough for global demand?

Russian Subaru dealers are taking orders now for the new wagons as demand is outstripping supply for the new 2015 Outback. In North America, Outback is having great success with record sales in April in both the U.S. and Canada. In Australia, Outback just passed the 90,000 sales mark and setting new records monthly.

Subaru is increasing production

Subaru is rolling out the new fifth-generation Outback as fast as the Lafayette, Indiana factory can produce them. Subaru Russia will be getting one model, the 2.5iS model with the 2.5-liter boxer engine mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and permanent all-wheel drive. The base model will cost 2.19 million rubles.

The 2.5iS includes a rearview camera, seven airbags, cruise control, 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, heated seats front and rear rows, two rows of power and a power liftgate.

In addition, all Outbacks are equipped with X-Mode for off-road, an intelligent drive SI-Drive system and the active traction control, similar to the WRX and WRX STI performance models also sold in Russia, for better cornering and steering response.
