A brand new Cybertruck owner from Los Angeles says he had no honeymoon period before his brand new Cybertruck started experiencing issues.
The Cybertruck buyer says he identified several issues even before he took delivery of the vehicle, however, the Tesla delivery specialist simply instructed him to schedule a service appointment.
A service appointment for a vehicle he hasn't even taken delivery of is not ideal. To make matters worse, the Cybertruck buyer claims that the sales representative was so indifferent to his concerns that their conversation nearly escalated into a physical altercation.
However, despite his reservations, the Cybertruck buyer accepted delivery of the truck and added that if Tesla doesn’t address the issues quickly, he’ll sue the EV maker.
The Los Angeles Cybertruck buyer shared his subpar Cybertruck buying experience on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
He writes…
“No Honeymoon period for my Cybertruck
So, I took delivery of my Cybertruck on February 28th at the Irvine center in Orange County, California. Let me tell you, Tesla's delivery service is terrible. It is so bad that I cannot recommend it to anyone. (For full disclosure, I have had three Teslas, and my investment position is fully in Tesla; I'm a massive fan of the company.) But yes, the company still has serious issues.
You can’t buy an $80,000 car and not even get a bottle of water or a cup of coffee when you take delivery. Call me old school, but having some people "take care of you" is the peak of human value and a high quality experience. This is not; this really sucks.
The car is full of issues: alignments, inside trims off, a bolt that came out while I was driving, cracks and sounds from the dashboard, weird ultra-high wind noises at speeds close to 80mph (annoying; I can't hear anything), a bizarre motor whining (other than the typical whine, which I love)... so on so forth.
I insisted on seeing someone before I took delivery, and the Tesla delivery guy said, "Oh, take it home and schedule a service appointment." I was going to punch him in the face for being so nonchalant and unengaged.
I came home, I opened a service ticket, now they are coming on Tuesday to look and "fix things", so like I said, no honeymoon for the Cybertruck.”
This is obviously a terrible experience for someone buying a brand-new $80,000 vehicle; however, the Cybertruck owner says the quality of his brand-new truck is even worse than that of his Tesla Model 3, which he bought from the EV maker seven years ago.
Taking these into account, the Cybertruck buyer adds that he will sue Tesla if the EV maker doesn't quickly resolve the defects.
He continues to write…
“My 2018 Tesla Model 3 at the time was better than this. I'm sorry, but in this day and age, at that price, a little effort goes a long way. If Tesla doesn't fix this car, I'm taking them to court. No joke. I have no elasticity on this one!!!”
Finally, the frustrated Cybertruck buyer concludes his post saying the way Tesla handled the entire sales process is un-American.
He continues to write…
“This is the most Un-American, American-Made product I have ever bought."
I don't know if a lot of people have had or are having similar issues.
Just so you know, my VIN is over 66K.
These two pictures are simply examples of that outrageous sloppiness."
Below his post, the new Cybertruck owner included two pictures: one showing a bolt that had fallen off his new vehicle, and the other showing a trim piece in the Cybertruck's interior that has come loose.
Overall, the Cybertruck owner seems frustrated by the entire purchase process; however, please let me know what you think in the comments. Share your ideas by clicking the “Add new comment” button below. Also, visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.

I have friends with teslas I’m pretty sure Tesla has the one up here my friend hasent even had his Tesla 6 months and is getting rid of it cause his had to take it to Tesla 4 time because of service tickets cost adding up for nothing like a firmware up date that dident work he had to take it to service each time this cost him 200 plus not cool just like gm certain things happen and only the dealer can fix all being minor issues but need special equipment to fix it’s just another way the car dealers figured out to stay in the pocket and get as much money as they can out of you
